Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal , was set up by Act Number 15 of 1990 of the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh. The Department of IT & BT, Government of Karnataka, in association with ICICI Bank has established the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology. Programmes began in 2002.
