The Indian Institute of Packaging was established in the year 1966 jointly by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and the Packaging and Allied Industries in the country.The Institute was registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860, on 14th May, 1966.The Institute successfully introduced a number of services and kept on increasing the sphere of services already introduced. The objective set for the Institute was to bring about and sustain appropriate improvements in the standards of packaging particularly for exports.

Geological Survey of India (GSI) , established in 1851, is a premier earth science organization in the country. Headquartered in Kolkata , it employs over 2 0 00 profess ional geoscientists in its offices equipped with modern laboratory facilities over the entire length and breadth of the country. In its 162 years of distinguished existence, Geological Survey of India has made significant contribution to nation - building b y providing basic earth science information to the government, to the industry, and to the public.

National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped established in the year 1984 at Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad (AP) is an Autonomous Body under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India and thus the institute is fast approaching towards its silver jubilee to celebrate its dedicated services to persons with mental retardation in the national interest. 

The University of Hyderabad (UoH), one of the major institutions of higher education in India is largely devoted to postgraduate studies and is widely known for its excellence in research and for its distinguished faculty. VEL TECH Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University signed a MoU with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune. C-DAC is a scientific society of the Ministry of the Communication and Information Technology, Govt. of India.

The MoU aims at offering the following unique post graduate and under graduate programmes to meet the ever growing human resource demand in the modern communication, IT & allied industries. Currently the following programmes are being offered.
